Website (Update #2)

Hey, been awhile.

I updated my portfolio and blog:

-Uploaded some simple Godot games to itch.io and linked them on my portfolio site.

I've worked with Godot for over 5 years now and didn't have anything to show on my portfolio, so, even though these games aren't in the most complete state, I want to at least show some of my development ability and familiarity. It's also much more demonstrative of the type of work I want to be doing going forward, rather than the various, primarily art-focused, school projects that dominated my portfolio site previously.

- Moved my custom blog to be on blogger.

RIP to my custom blog before that I made using html/css. It was a cool project and a good learning experience, but I didn't quite hit an efficient enough workflow to actually implement new blog posts. It was an excessively manual process any time I wanted to update or make a new post. So we're here now, in hopes of making it easier for me to blog about my work :)

-Moved all my school projects to one page

I just wanted to make my portfolio more game development and programming-centric,  so I basically moved all the art and some design work to be all on one page. I might even cut that down some, but I think it has some value as demonstrated my breadth of knowledge.

That's about all that comes to my mind about what I changed with my portfolio.

As a general update about my life since I last posted:

I worked at Cisco as a Software Engineer Contractor for a couple years. A very good experience that I'm grateful for, which now dominates about half of my resume.

I also started a double major program this year at WPI (Computer Science and Game Dev (B.S)), which has been going very well and I'm quite excited about it.

Until the next update,
-Ben

First Post

This is a test post.

I'm hoping to use this blog to explain more in-depth about some of the pieces on my portfolio. It should be easier to update and maintain than my current html/css blog that I made for my site.
